This year, in celebration of the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer’s 15th anniversary and in recognition of the theme “Generations,” we are issuing a challenge for collegiate sorority women! We are challenging every single sorority chapter in the state of Georgia to send at least one sister to be a chapter representative and participate as a Student Sunday Walker! Together, these women will make up our 2-Day Greek Girls team, representing the generation of collegiate women who have been or will be affected by breast cancer.

Since all money raised for the Atlanta 2-Day Walk supports breast health and breast cancer programs in Georgia, the sorority women who participate in this initiative will be a part of an inter-Greek movement to make a lasting impact in their local communities. Community service is an integral part of Greek life, and this opportunity will allow collegiate women from different organizations from all over the state to come together and support a single cause together.

Sorority chapters are able to get involved with this initiative by sending a chapter representative or by choosing to volunteer. The 2-Day has existing relationships with local sorority chapters volunteering at Cheer Stations, B’Rest Stops, and elsewhere, encouraging the walkers as they persevere through 30 miles of Atlanta sidewalks! Other volunteer opportunities will be available for chapters who are interested in supporting the organization.

Do you know of any sorority girls who may be interested in participating? For more details about the 2-Day Greek Girls team, please email Whitney Pack at wpack@2daywalk.org or check out the team’s page.
