We are so excited about our 2020 events! We will have four training walks this year to give you a chance to meet your fellow walkers, explore new walking paths and routes, all done with the support of our safety and B’Rest Stop crews. We also bring limtied quanitities of our 2-Day Store merchandise to each training walk, so feel free to check that out when you come! We can’t wait to “Do the 2” together in 2020! Details are added to each event closer to time, so check back often for updates!
If you have a fundraiser of your own that you would like to share with your 2-Day Walkers & Crew, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org to have your event sent out in the weekly e-mail newsletter.
2020 Kick Off has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 16! To help you keep your training on track, the route will offer both a 3 mile and a 6 mile option.
Join us at a new location (the Concourse Athletic Club) for a revamped Kick Off experience! We’ll still be serving a light breakfast, but we’ll be offering a brand new orientation itinerary that both rookies and veterans will want to hear.
This will be your chance to hear about new programs, incentives, awards, and to re-energize your spirit for the 2020 2-Day season as we hear from a speaker to help us reconnect with Randi Passoff’s vision and mission for It’s The Journey. You won’t want to miss it!
Breakfast starts at 7:30 am, and our new orientation begins at 8:00 am. In addition to our roll-out of new programs, we will also be doing a Q&A with staff so that your questions are being answered in real time. After the program, we’ll be heading out for a 3 or 6 mile training walk in honor of our founder, Randi Passoff, who made her home in Sandy Springs!

The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer is an annual fundraising endurance walk that takes place on October 3-4, 2020, and takes participants through 30 miles of Atlanta over the course of 2 days. Last year, nearly 1,000 walkers committed to fundraising and training for this event.
The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer’s founder, Randi Passoff, began the 2-Day Walk in 2002 when the Avon 3-Day Walk faced financial difficulty and pulled out of Atlanta. Randi’s goal was to create a fundraising event where money raised stayed right in the communities of the participants. We call the 2-Day “the kinder and gentler breast cancer walk” because we strive to include passionate individuals at different levels of physical and fundraising ability- walkers can walk all 30 miles, or just choose to walk 10 miles on one day.
In 2019, over $1,105,000 was raised from the Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer! With the money from the walk, It’s The Journey, Inc. is able to fund grants that serve over 100 counties in Georgia. These programs provide mammograms, clinical breast exams, genetic counseling and testing, biopsies, support services, education, and much more. Many of our grants have a specific focus on under-served individuals in our community- uninsured and under-insured women for whom these types of breast health measures are often not available.
Since 2002, the Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer has funded 403 grants totaling $16 million to support breast health programs throughout Georgia.
