Adventure #3 is here! Join us April 12-21 as we stay active, motivated, and inspired for the 2021 Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer! We’re once again using the MoveSpring app this year to train & stay connected as we get ready to “Do the 2.” In this app, you can connect your wearable device or smartphone to automatically track your activity, post training updates, and chat with friends!
All registered 2021 2-Day participants (walkers and crew) are invited to participate via our MoveSpring platform. Click here for instructions on how to sign in to MoveSpring.
Stick To It Challenge: Healthy Food Choices
We all know our bodies need fuel to be active, and making healthy food choices helps our bodies- especially those in recovery from or fighting breast cancer- be stronger and better able to do their jobs! We’re encouraging you to make one healthy food choice for each day throughout this 10-day Adventure! Share your healthy snacks, meal pics, or favorite healthy recipes in the chat!
Fitness Goal: Walk a 5K!
Did you know that It’s The Journey is hosting a 5K breast cancer run in Macon this May 9? Seriously- we are! Click here to learn more about the Georgia 5K Run for Breast Cancer, or to sign up to be an in-person or virtual participant! This Adventure, we’re challenging you to work your way up to walking a 5K- that’s around 3.1 miles. Take your time, listen to your body, make sure you have well-fitting shoes and moisture-wicking socks, and you can totally do this! Finding a great music playlist or interesting podcast are all easy ways to help keep you feeling engaged and motivated as you add mileage to your training walks!
Contest: Everyone who completes a 5K during the challenge period will be entered to win a free registration for the Georgia 5K Run For Breast Cancer! Winner gets a 5K t-shirt and can elect to participate in-person at the 5K in Macon or join the virtual event and complete their 5K at home. Good luck!
Inspiration Location: South Peachtree Creek Path Trail
Tired of all your usual training spots? Then check out this Adventure’s Inspiration Location!
