We miss you guys! Let’s “hang out” and train for the 2-Day Walk- social distancing style! We’re bringing back the Fitbit challenge!!
We’re going to walk 30 miles in the month of April. Here’s how you can join us:
– On the Fitbit app, open the “Community” tab
– Hit the “Add Friend” image (a plus sign with person symbol)
– Search username “WhitneyPack” or “JonMcMurdo” and add friend
– We will add you to the challenge!
Even if you don’t have a Fitbit, the app can work with other trackers or with your smartphone! Simply download the Fitbit app to your phone, and authorize the app to read your health statistics (just hit “accept” on everything when they ask for authorization).
How do you join the challenges if you have an Apple Watch or other fitness device besides fit bit? Thank you.
Hi Shannon! The Fitbit app is compatible with all tracking devices. Simply download the Fitbit app to your phone, and authorize the app to read your health statistics (just hit “accept” on everything when they ask for authorization). Once you’re in the Fitbit app:
– Open the “Community” tab
– Hit the “Add Friend” image (a plus sign with person symbol)
– Search username “WhitneyPack” or “JonMcMurdo” and add friend
– We will add you to the challenge!
We will continue using our Fitbit community page until August 10 when we’ll transition to using MoveSpring, a more robust platform that we’ll also be using for the 2020 Georgia 2-Day Walk Experience!
Hi If I sign up for the 30 mile 2020 virtual walk to be completed in 14 days as stated, am I allowed to walk any day of the week and on my own time?
Hi Sandra! Absolutely- you can tackle your 30 miles whenever and wherever you like during that 14 day period!
